Shipibo Altar Cloths

These alter cloths are made by the Shipibo people of the Andes Mountains, Peru, South America. These sacred geometric patterns and shapes are their visioning and sound of the Ayahuasca medicine and the tracking of Ayahuasca Journeying. The Shipibo people believe there is powerful healing held in these shapes and patterns and weave and paint them into their homes, clothing and artefacts.
